Christian-based education for the whole family.

Meet the Officers of Lighthouse Christian Cooperative Learning

Welcome to Lighthouse Christian Cooperative Learning! We’re thrilled to introduce you to the dedicated team of officers who are committed to guiding and supporting our community. Each member of our team brings a wealth of experience, a passion for education, and a deep commitment to our mission of fostering a vibrant, faith-centered learning environment.

Hi, I’m Debbie Loudermilk, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Lighthouse Christian Learning Center community. I was born and raised in beautiful Habersham County, where I have had the privilege of nurturing and educating young minds for many years.

For the past 39 years, I have proudly owned and operated Kandy Kane Preschool. During this time, my mission has been more than just providing education; it is about spreading God’s love and serving others. Each day at Kandy Kane is an opportunity to share my passion for helping people and demonstrating the love of Jesus in a tangible way.

I’m also a proud mother of four amazing children, who have been my greatest joy and inspiration. My love for them fuels my commitment to creating supportive and loving environments for all children.

In 2005, I took another step in my journey by establishing an accredited private school for children with special needs. Unfortunately, the economic downturn in 2008 led to the difficult decision to close its doors. However, my faith has remained steadfast, and I am excited to see what God has planned for me now at Lighthouse Christian Cooperative Learning.

I look forward to this new chapter and am eager to contribute to the wonderful work being done here. Thank you for welcoming me into this community—I can’t wait to see the incredible things we will achieve together!

My name is Kaitlin Loudermilk. I’m a registered nurse, wife, and mother of three. My husband and I were both born and raised in Habersham, and we now live on his family’s 65+ year-old cattle farm. We enjoy the outdoors, trips to new places, and making memories with our kids.

When my daughter was about to start kindergarten, God began prompting me to consider a different path for her education and for our lives. His calling to homeschool came with many questions and led to a lot of prayer. With God guiding us, and placing the right people in our lives at the right time, we are able to bring you Lighthouse Christian Cooperative Learning INC.

Our family chose this lifestyle to provide  and maintain a solid foundation of core, faith-based values. We’re eager to share our core values, our goals, and invite you to join in a little fun along the way! I’m so thankful you’re here!

My name is Lacy Nunnally, and I’m a devoted mother of five boys who has been homeschooling for 11 years. This rewarding journey has inspired me to encourage other working parents to explore homeschooling.

Initially, I balanced a full-time career as a firefighter while attending EMT school and managing my children’s education. This taught me valuable time management and resilience. For the past five years, I’ve worked as an operational manager and HR in a corporate setting, expanding my skills further.

As a volunteer with Habersham 4-H, I’ve taught children through the STEM program, deepening my passion for hands-on learning. I’m excited to serve as lead teacher at Lighthouse Christian Cooperative Learning, where I aim to empower parents to embrace their role in their children’s education. I believe God equips us to teach, and I’m here to support families on their journeys.

In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities with my boys, like fishing, hunting, kayaking, and rodeoing. These adventures strengthen our family bond and foster a love for nature. I look forward to continuing this journey of learning and exploration both in the classroom and beyond.

Hello, I’m Rebekah Murray, and I’m excited to share a bit about myself and my journey with you. I live in Habersham County with my wonderful husband and our four beautiful daughters. My life has been deeply intertwined with Kandy Kane Preschool, where I was fortunate to grow up surrounded by a loving and nurturing environment.

Today, I am honored to follow in my mother’s footsteps as the Director of Kandy Kane. Watching my own daughters thrive at Kandy Kane has been a profound privilege. Our journey took a turn when we briefly enrolled them in public school. By the end of the 2024 school year, we felt we were merely surviving, and I knew there had to be a better way to support their education and development.

My husband and I wanted our children to learn essential life skills, experience kindness, and grow in their faith. Though the idea of homeschooling once seemed daunting and out of reach, our prayers were answered as God opened doors and turned what we thought was just a dream into reality.

With immense excitement, we embraced the opportunity to be part of Lighthouse Christian Cooperative Learning. Already, this new path has brought peace and joy to our family, and we are thrilled about the possibilities that lie ahead.
