Christian-based education for the whole family.

At Lighthouse Christian Cooperative Learning, we believe education should nurture the whole child academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Our goal is to provide a Christ-centered learning environment where students are encouraged to grow in both knowledge and character while developing a lifelong love of learning.

Because every child learns differently, we use a blended and individualized approach to education rather than relying on a single boxed curriculum. Our teachers thoughtfully combine a variety of trusted educational resources, hands-on learning experiences, literature-based instruction, teacher-created lessons, and supplemental programs to best meet the needs of each student

Our curriculum resources may include:

  • The Good and the Beautiful
  • Denison Algebra and higher-level math resources
  • Master Books
  • Teacher-created lessons and unit studies
  • Literature-based learning
  • Hands-on science and STEM activities
  • Supplemental phonics and math intervention programs
  • Biblical devotionals and scripture study
  • Life skills and practical learning opportunities

Students also participate in daily devotionals, biblical discussions, scripture memory, and Christ-centered character development throughout the school year. In addition, the pastor of Hollywood Baptist Church teaches theology classes to help students develop a deeper understanding of scripture, Christian faith, and biblical foundations.

We believe parents are the primary influence in a child’s education, and our program is designed to come alongside families by providing structure, support, accountability, and community in a Christ-centered environment.

While we may use curriculum resources created by various educational publishers, all materials used within our program are carefully selected and filtered through our own Christian worldview and educational philosophy.
